We've been getting bright orange sun in the afternoons b/c of the smoke. Beautiful marina.
ReplyDeleteLike me you are probably old enough to remember the aquarium and killer whales next door to the marina. I miss that attraction, though I agreed with its closing.

Any sign/word of the grey whale that had been hanging aound there?
ReplyDeleteDid you see the sun this morning? It was so creepy the way you could look right at it through the smoke...
ReplyDeleteDean - I think a badly injured or dead grey whale washed up somewhere up here. They said on the news it had been attacked by orca whales.
ReplyDeleteJoJo, that one was further west towards Sooke and found before a single one was lingering around Oak Bay just in the past month. It had been there for a good two or three weeks.
