Just above and to the left of the Orca are a couple of cormorants that, if they were scaled in reference to the Orca, would be about the size of B-52s. I suspect it's just a piece of driftwood.Benjamin Madisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10557453060872726741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5583858833715089401.post-55219709283858456182010-10-29T19:00:51.206-07:002010-10-29T19:00:51.206-07:00Me neither.Me neither.Dean Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06517101319415981439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5583858833715089401.post-53613203196099957962010-10-29T19:00:02.744-07:002010-10-29T19:00:02.744-07:00Enjoying all that distant detail brought forward, ...Enjoying all that distant detail brought forward, did anyone take note of the protruding orca dorsal fin in the immediate foreground to the left ?Dean Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06517101319415981439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5583858833715089401.post-76901347630288943072010-10-29T11:08:55.245-07:002010-10-29T11:08:55.245-07:00That's some zoom lens! It seems very different from when you are driving or walking between them at ground level.Mike Laplantehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06813745494544900779noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5583858833715089401.post-87476770585091095322010-10-29T09:30:30.468-07:002010-10-29T09:30:30.468-07:00That really is remarkable, the amount of 'cond...That really is remarkable, the amount of 'condensing' the telephoto creates. It's like a puzzle to pick out the tiny bits and details in the mid-ground of the landmark buildings and imagining exactly what your angle was for them to overlap as they do. The south corner of the Empress appears immediately in front of the east end of a torquoise Legislature tower, which to me, wouldn't line up with the direction eastward towards Rockland as the picture shows. I would have thought it would point out to sea or at least Clover Point. ? :)<br />Hmmm, interesting.Dean Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06517101319415981439noreply@blogger.com
